‘…accompanied by what I thought was a respectable amount of smiles... ‘

How do you arrive at the right amount? There is a post waiting to be written about such conundrums.

I loved that I could imagine you (respectfully) cycling, hear the sound of rain and imagine (respectfully again) the number of heart messages abdul would have sent you.

I am so glad that you choose to share this with us Pritam.

Also - What is the meaning of conundrum?

Hahaha, thank you for continuing to read! Very happy that (what I consider) sort of spare writing gave you the space to imagine how it felt!

Hmm.... I think conundrum is the persistent beat in your mind that keeps increasing in volume because of a difficult decision!

Love these windows you open into your cycling journeys. 😊. The girl from Lebanon took my breath away - people like her are gold. But the phone request was so odd, right. He waited two years to ask that!

Yes! I think if I spoke Farsi, the whole situation would have been very different. Maybe I would have gained a lifelong friend. So it goes :)
